It has, I must admit, been a little scary seeing the response to Adrift on the Sea of Rains. Of course, I wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of self-publishing it if I hadn’t thought it worth the effort. Or the money. But positive reviews have been rolling in ever since the book was launched at this year’s Eastercon in early April. At present, there are over a dozen such scattered around the Internet. As they appear, I add them to the Reviews page…
But that doesn’t mean I can’t take a little time to crow about them…
The latest review is here on the Alt Hist site. And here’s one by David Hutchinson on his tumblr page. Further reviews can be found on Science Fiction 365, Dylan Fox’s website, Tony Lane’s blog, Richard Palmer’s Solar Bridge, Gary Dalkin’s To The Last Word, Colum Paget’s The Singularity Sucks, Lavie Tidhar’s website and sf news site Upcoming4.me. Not to mention comments by Michael J Martineck, Jack Deighton, Gary Gibson and Glen Mehn. Plus reviews on Amazon UK and US, and Goodreads.
All this, of course, does mean the pressure’s on to make the second book of the quartet better than the first…
